U.S. ARMY PFC CHRISTIAN "KADE" WARRINER
MILLS RIVER – U.S. Army PFC Christian "Kade" Warriner, 19, was killed in active duty on Sunday, November 14, 2010, in the Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
Kade was born on March 15, 1991 in Asheville, NC. Kade lived in Yancey Co. for the first 13 years of his life, then moved to Mills River and attended West Henderson High School before joining the military.
Kade is survived by his wife, Shelby Warriner; brother, Zane Warriner; mother, Brandy Honeycutt; father, N. Frank Warriner, III, and step-mother, Allyson Warriner; paternal grandfather, Mike "Grand-daddy" Warriner; maternal grandparents, June "Grump" and Tony "Pop" Honeycutt; uncle, Anthony Honeycutt; paternal great-grandmother, Joyce Warriner; aunts, Heather Davis, and Sara Grizzle. Also left to cherish Kade's memory is a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins from both sides of the family, and many friends.
Kade was full of life, and he gave 110% to everything that he did. Even plotting how to annoy Grump, Pop, and mom.
Kade loved life so much but more than anything he loved Shelby, his soulmate and the love of his life.
Kade was all about adventure and fun. He loved hunting, fishing, and his family. Kade was never happier than when he was surrounded by a big crew of his family and friends. He lived life with gusto. Kade will be remembered and loved by all who knew him.
The funeral service for Kade will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, in Black Mountain.
His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
Kade and Zane spent many happy summers at Gwynn Valley Camp, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gwynn Valley Campership Foundation, 301 Gwynn Valley Trail, Brevard, NC 28712.

To Kade’s wife and family:
Please accept my sincere condolences; you and Kade are in my prayers. As an Army retiree with two sons who have served in Afghanistan and Iraq, my family is blessed with never having gone through your pain. But I can only hope that you take some comfort in knowing that many of us who didn’t even know Kade are grateful for his service to our country, and for the ultimate sacrifice that he and you have made.
I saw Kade’s picture on a desk in the Asheville Ford dealership, and felt the pride that an old soldier feels when seeing a young man or woman in uniform. When I asked Adam about the picture, he told me what happened to Kade. I was deeply moved.
Kade’s loss will never leave you, but please try with all of your heart to remember the joy and love that each of you brought to Kade, and especially the joy and love that he brought to you. All of you know that he would want nothing more. God bless you, and God bless an American hero.
Our hearts go out to Kade’s family and friends. His sacrifice wasn’t in vain for we know freedom isn’t free.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
God bless you.
A warrior’s soul wings its way to heaven as straight as the arror flies.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.
My son Spc. Chad Hembree was serving along side Kade. He spoke of what a great friend and soldier Kade was.
All of our hearts are breaking for your loss. Kade is our Hero and will never be forgotten.

My heart aches for this entire family. My son, former USAF special forces, served very close with the Army, has done several tours,in Iraq, and Afghanastan, was given four bronze stars by the Army for his service, I woke up many nights, with anxiety attacks, went to the other end of the house to pray, not wanting to wake my husband. I felt relief, knowing my son was doing what he wanted to do, knowing that he was serving his country. Let this loss not be in vain. Thank you to your son. May you find Gods loving peace.

We can just offer our heartfelt prayers and wishes for them through this difficult time. Rode in honor of our fallen Veteran Christian ‘Kade’ Warriner in West Coast Thunder XVII Memorial Day 2016, out in Riverside, CA.
THOUSANDS of us wear dog tags of a fallen hero to honor their sacrifice – and their families.
Today I met Kade, 19, married from N.C., and planning his future. He said so much in his Veteran’s Day FB post… He cashed that check with his life, but there isn’t enough money in this country to cash it. There are to many like Kade.
Let’s never forget the sacrifice our service members and their families sacra rice for us. Not just this day. It lives with those next to you everyday.
Pray…Amen.
Kade is with me everyday now. I am grateful.
I’m sorry for your loss. He was so young. How brave a young man he must have been.
Our condolence from warriner family here in the philippines
