Tony McCoy Taylor

Tony McCoy Taylor, 83, of Asheville, passed away on Thursday February 12, 2026. He is preceded in death by this wife of 38 years, Jewell Marlor Taylor; his parents; his grandfather, Calvin Helton and grandmother, Jeannie Helton, whom he loved like a mother.

Tony proudly served his country as a Marine in Vietnam and later worked as an Exxon auto mechanic and tow truck driver. He had a great passion for race car driving.

He is survived by his son, Mark Taylor, and stepson, Calvin Marlor.

Services for Mr. Taylor will be private. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family
