Theresa Millicent Jansen Tocco, 90, of Asheville, died on Sunday, November 3, 2013. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Tocco was a daughter of the late Edwin and Theresa McGrath Jansen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Tocco, who died in 2012. Mrs. Tocco was a member of the Italian American Club and the Italian Friendship Club. She was also a member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Richard Anthony Tocco, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Tocco will be on Tuesday, November 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Patrick Cahill officiating. Her family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Memorials may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128.
