Ted Howard Meadows, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

An Asheville native, Ted was the son of the late William and Daisy Sams Meadows. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Wendy; his six brothers and six sisters.

Mr. Meadows proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Stevens, and her husband, Mike Stevens; his grandson, Jonathan Stamper; and granddaughters, Jamie Grooms and Sarah Laton.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later time.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

  1. My deepest sympathy (a little late) to the family. Ted was my sweet friend at Pisgah Manor and I enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed

  2. I’m so sad to see today that Ted passed away in September. My mother and father had great respect for Ted and he helped them out many times. His face is in many of my memories at Trinity.

  3. Last time I talk to Ted was at Bob Mulls funeral he rolled up in his wheelchair with a big old smile and said how you doing Scott? I was so glad to see him it had been a while. I am very sad to hear that that is gone. He was wonderful father you can sound my daughters christening for me at the church. Ted you I’m truly be missed. Truly one of a kind. Till we meet again old friend.
