Tammy Renee Lindsey

Tammy Renee Lindsey, 48, of Fletcher, passed away Friday, December 27 at her residence.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Allen (Jackie) and Betty Mickalunas Lindsey. She was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Wilma Mickalunas and Myrtle Gosnell and one brother, Douglas Allen Lindsey.

In addition to her parents, Tammy is survived by fiancé, Steve Ray; three daughters, Samantha Lindsey, Crystal Rich and Morgan Ray; one son, Steven Lindsey; one sister, Kathy Lindsey; one brother, Thomas Lindsey; four granddaughters, Haley Ray, Riley Ray, McKenzie Rich and Chloe Rich; one great-granddaughter, Aryella Dalton; two nephews, Daniel Surratt and Tyler Lindsey; special niece, Christy Lindsey (fiancé Jesse Sauve) and niece Brittany Barnwell; great niece Angel Sauve and four great nephews, Jase Sauve, Sawyer Barnwell, Bryson Barnwell and Jaxon Barnwell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 3 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to either the Asheville Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806 or to one’s local animal shelter.
