Goodby my friend. You died living and that is what God wanted from you. I will miss the questions in Sunday School but I will never forget your answers. Thanks for the memories.
Dear Brenda,
Since we first met in the 8th grade we have made so many memories. Some are so very precious and funny. Others are so very painful. Even though the miles have separated us, we have always known we could call on each other during our times of need. I consider myself to be so fortune to have a lifetime friend like you.
When daddy died a friend told me what an honor it was to have a heavenly father who loves us so much he has opened his home to us eternally. As the pain eased with daddy’s death, I realized how true this really is.
I am praying for you and your family. You know I am just a phone call away. I love you.

Brenda,
We’ve never met but we feel as though we know you. We are Gail and Frank’s friends from Delaware. We were so sorry to hear of your recent loss of Stan. You’ve been thru so much in the last month. Please know our thoughts are with you and your family in this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Faye and Ben Horner
Brenda, Please remember that prayer is powerful and you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts during this difficult and so very sad time.
I thank God that you and Stan came into my life and feel so blessed that I got to share only a small part of your time together.
I will be in touch early next week to assist you.
Gatha
Brenda,
It is with great sadness that I received the news today of the loss of Stan. He was an excellent aviator and a great man. We had numerous trips together to England and many good discussions. He knew British history and royality like no one I’ve been around, and always made our visits extremely interesting. He was fun to the max!
I regret that I did not receive the notice today in time to attend the services. My prayers are with you and your family.

One final salute from one military aviator to another: God’s speed Lieutenant Commander.
Dear Brenda, Mr. and Mrs. Starling, and family, Thinking of you all during this sad time. Stan was a dear friend to me at Piedmont Airlines and USAir and it was fun knowing he was from Cuthbert, Ga., (home of my friends Robert and Nancy Burgin) and just down the road from my hometown of Columbus. Stan was such a good, true friend to all of us at the airline and his love of his family was such an inspiration, especially during these trying years of his illness. Stan carried himself like the wonderful, upbeat trouper that he was during it all and his love of family, friends, and faith were a true inspiration. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Brenda, We are thinking of you and the children and have each of you in our prayers. Stan was a wonderful Christian man that will be greatly missed. I think of him singing so beautifully at your mother’s service. God probably has Stan as the Captain of His Heavenly choir. God bless each of you. All of our love, Linda and Herman
Dear Brenda & Family,
Just want you to know that Mark and I are praying for you as we have been throughout. While we have only known you and Stan for a short while, we were in awe of his courage and could tell he was truly a man of integrity and great faith. May God keep you all in His loving hand.
In our prayers,
Mark and Jan Carland
Dear Brenda and family,
Our hearts ache for you at this difficult time. Having lost our 26 yr. old son unexpectedly six weeks ago, we feel your pain. We pray God will fill the hole in your heart with His comfort and peace and that you will feel His loving presence as never before. His grace will get you through the valleys. Through Jay’s sudden homegoing, we have learned to take one day at a time. That’s how God wants each one of us to live. Stan had a sweet disposition and gracious spirit even in the midst of his pain. God wanted him home and he’s not in pain anymore. Thank God for all the precious memories of him and cherish them. Stan and Jay are worshipping at the feet if Jesus and waiting for us to join them one day soon. What a reunion that will be! We sorrow not even as those who have no hope. I Thessalonians 4:13
