  8. Our heart goes out to all of Sky’s family and also to his loving fiance, Carmen. We know there are no words to mend your sorrows, but know that God is always there in your pain. Sky was a good friend to Gary and Josh and although my husband and I knew Carmen more than Sky himself, she always spoke so very highly of him that it was as if ‘we’ knew him ourselves. He made her very happy and was a wonderful friend to our boys. He had many friends and he will be missed by many as well…God Bless All of You.

He was one of my friends just as he was to lots of others.He will be deeply missed by all. He was also deeply loved by all, including me.

  14. To the parents of Sky. I used to stop in and buy gas where he was employed, he was always very nice to speak to and always had GREAT manners. My daughter knew him for about 8 months. She Also told me he was a decent young man that was liked by many. My heart goes out to anyone that knew him. He will be in our prayers. Thanks Roger E. Zibell, and Kelly E. Zibell

  15. Carmen,
    My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you and Sky’s family. Just remember that I am always here when you just need/want to talk. Let me know if there is anything Wes or I can do! My home number is 667-8255!! God bless you all.

  16. My heartfelt sympathy to the family and many friends, and to Carmen the young lady he wanted to share his life with.I am a regular customer at Georges Mini Mart. And I always loved to go in on Sky’s shift because I knew I would be greeted with a smile, a word of encouragment, and sometimes a hug when he wasn’t to busy. God sends special angels to live among us, some for a long time and others for just a short time. But I truly believe he made an impact on so many peoples lives while he was here on earth. But I know he would not trade places with any of us now because Heaven is such a beautiful place. And having known Sky like a felt I did, if he could get a message back to his family and friends today it would read something like this: I have arrived safely, I’m having a great time, I sure wish you were here!! May God bless each of you during this time and in the days to come. My prayers are with you!!

  17. Beverly,
    My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    A Mother’s love for her son is immeasurable, as is a Son’s love for his mother. May this love forever remain in your heart and sustain you through all your days.

    With Deepest Sympathy,
    Laura

  18. Dear Harold & Beverly,

    Time and distance have not dulled my friendship and feelings for you two. I am so very sad at hearing of the passing of Sky. I remember holding him in my arms when he was a baby. I did not have much of an opportunity to know Sky as he grew and became a man, yet I did have a certain kinship with him by knowing him as a small child. All my memories of him are good. My memories of his Mom and Dad are good as well and I wanted you two to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have read Sky’s memorial to my two young sons and have highlighted the need to wear seat belts. They understand the consequences and will hopefully heed the advise thoughout their lives.

    With deepest sympathy,

    Jay Watt

  26. Dear Beverly,Harold and love ones;

    There are no words that can describe how I feel toward your lost. But I can still see Sky in diapers standing in front of my beachhouse in the ruts of my sandy driveway. Having those baby blue eyes staring straight up at us. Life changing so much in such a short time, yet little answers are left to discover as to why!

    Just know that we all loved watching Sky grow up and that warm smile that he cast upon our faces.

    Please accept my Condolences.

  27. To Sky’s family and Carmen, I used to live in Duluth in Summit on the river when Sky and his mom lived right next to me in Jefferson. Me and Sky hung out everyday and became like brother and sister. I moved for a little while and when I came back he had moved too. I had no idea where he had been for the past couple of years. Then I had spoke with Drew and told me what had happened. He was a great friend to so many people in Atlanta and I am greatful I got to be one of them. I will always love him and miss him. My heart goes out to his family, Carmen, and friends.

    Sincerely,
    Lauren Valentine

  28. Dear Beverly and Harold;

    It is with great sadness to learn that your son Sky L Lewis has left us. I too almost lost my infant son during the holiday season. I pray that your family can recover from this tragedy.

    I remember when your family lived at NMB and how Sky grew up to be a young adult from his visits to see his dad and grandmother. These memories will always be with us and his loving ways. I will always remember to fasten my selt belt and any passengers.

    Sincerely,

  29. To Sky’s Family, I use to live down the street and go to school with Sky, all of the neighborhood kids would get together and hang out with each other all of the time. I remember Sky and Tony would go to garage sales in the neighborhood to see who could buy the most jewelry for me. Sky was a great person and he will always be remembered by all of his friends in Berkshire Manor.

  30. I had known Sky for about 2 1/2 years but in the last six months I became better friends with him and closer to him than I had ever been before. If Sky was ever sad he didn’t show it, he always had a smile on his face for everyone else. Sky was one of a kind and I will never forget him. I have many memories of Sky and in my sadness I can look back on all of them and smile. Carmen I cannot imagine what you are going through right now but I am here for you if you need anything at all. To Sky’s parents thank you for giving us Sky even though we only had him for such a short time. To Sky…We know we won’t forget you so don’t you forget about us. I know you and Colleen are shining your light on heaven just like you both did with us. Your memory will never leave my heart or my mind. Thanks for living it up and showing us all how it’s done.
