Shirley Leigh Roberts

Shirley Roberts, age 83 of Fairview, North Carolina transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Edith Honeycutt and her father Ralph Jones, her brothers Ed Jones and Paul Jones, her sister Judy Singleton, her sister-in-law Lucille Jones, her niece Kathy Phillips, and grandson Travis McClellan.

Shirley leads the way for her husband of 65 years, Bobby Roberts; their son, Kenny Roberts and daughter-in-law Sassi; her grandson Seth Roberts and his wife Tia and great granddaughters Mayven and Sage; her granddaughter Tina Bright, great granddaughters Olivia and Scarlett, and great grandson Colton. She was like a mother and grandmother to her nieces Kim Carter and her husband Shane, Jennifer Stierwalt, her husband Chris, and their children Carson and Adyson; Jessica Hensley, her husband Matthew, and their children Noah and Emilyn; and Lisa Edwards, her husband Tim, their son Brandon, and his daughters Brooklyn and Madisyn.

Shirley’s sweet smile will always be treasured to those who loved her most. Her favorite place to be was in her kitchen. If you have ever enjoyed one of her meals or desserts, consider yourself blessed. She could cook and bake like no one else! Shirley had such a gift of hospitality and a love for her church. When not able to be there in person she would always watch the services online. She loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart.

Services will be held this Friday, June 21, 2024 at Biltmore Church of God, 1390 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803. Pastor Dale Whitson will be officiating. The visitation will be at 12pm and funeral at 1pm. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 25 at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
