Sherman C. Williamson

Mr. Williamson was a native of Buncombe County and was a son of the late William Lee and Cora Setzer Williamson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Lois Williams Williamson and Lou Reepe Williamson.

He was retired from Matthews Motors where he was a parts salesman and he was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and church treasurer.

He is survived by a daughter, Frances W. Holcombe of Fountain Inn, SC; a step-daughter, Marilou R. Collin of Asheville; a step-son, George R. Reepe of Asheville; two brothers, Jack Williamson and Bill Williamson, both of Asheville; four grandchildren, Wayne M. Holcombe, Wm. Cooper Holcombe, Robert E. Holcombe and Faye H. Flores; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. J. Derrill Smith officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.

His family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and request that memorials be made to Grace Baptist Church, 718 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
