Guestbook

  1. Trip was generous enough to share his office space with me when I was first starting my practice in AVL. I also utilized him for EMDR supervising consult. Such a very sweet soul. I miss him very much.

  2. We’ve all heard the saying, “it takes a community to raise a child,” that being said, so grateful for Trip as a thoughtful neighbor. As a single mom with three boys, Trip and his wonderful son, Weston, were always there for my boys. Bonus for us, Weston became an adopted “Turpin Brother,” since elementary school, and the boys are still close to this day. My sons were frequently over at Trip and Weston’s home for game nights and dinners. Not just any dinner, Trip was an amazing cook! To this day, I still attempt to make his signature Shrimp Scampi. He will always have a special place in my family’s hearts. – Cathy Turpin Mathews

  3. Trip was an inspiring mentor for me as I grew up with his son, Weston. He naturally helped others to think for themselves and change their perspective to see the good and interesting things around us. I’ll carry on many good memories from the Woodard household with me, and I hope I’ll be able to bring people together like he did.

  4. I always admired how Trip marched to the beat of his own drum. His heterodox approach to life coupled with his welcoming spirit made him such a neighborhood treasure. If there is one constant in my childhood/adolescence that I remember fondly, it is the Woodard household.

  5. Trip, it was good meeting you and having you as a mentor . You helped me a lot and you come into my mind when I do my work. Be well on your journey friend

  6. He was such a wonderful therapist he helped me in some really hard times when I was a young child I am going to miss him alot he made a really big difference in my life
