Sharon Maney Showalter, 77, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Atrium Health, Charlotte.
Sharon was born March 29, 1946, in Asheville, to the late Gilbert and Josephine Thompson Maney. She was a graduate of Lee Edwards High School and spent most of her working career in restaurants equipment sales.
She is survived by her son, Terry Showalter and his wife Jennifer, of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Kendra Lear and her husband Marty, of Lancaster, SC; brother, Barry Maney and his wife Pamela, of Lexington, SC; four grandchildren: Chelsee, Melanie (DJ), Jasmine and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren: Kylee, Damian, and Stefan.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Green Hills Cemetery with Pastor Allen Rash officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Sharon was a great friend and employee. Respected and loved by all of her co-workers with Asheville Showcase and Fixture company and Food Equipment Company. She loved Terry and Kendra very much and really loved her grandchildren. She was will missed but left us all with a lot of funny memories.
