My heart has never been so sad.
I cannot imagine losing my child or children at such a young age and to such a senseless act of violence.
Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are with you all in this horrible time. I know you don’t know us, and we don’t know you – but we feel your pain and your anger. And if we could have one Christmas wish, it would be to bring your precious little ones back to you and erase this horrific incident from history.
Peace and love be with you in the coming days, weeks, months, and years. Nothing can ever take this pain away. But please know you are not EVER alone. This nation stands behind you.

Simple words cannot express the deep hole in our hearts knowing the pain and loss your community has endured. To all the parents whose children were taken may God hold you up. For the parents whose children that witnessed the horror may God pay special attention to them. For all the children,the parents,the community may God shed his grace and love on thee.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you during this sad time. We are all grieving with you and praying that our sweet Jesus will wrap his loving arms around each and every person that was impacted in any way with this tragic day. There are so many that are holding each of you close in heart.

I am so sorry that our children are targeted as a ‘statement’ that someone wishes to make public. All of these children will never be forgotten by me nor by millions around the world. My condolences to the families of the children and the adults who lost their lives so tragically.

We cry all the time!!! We can’t even begin to imagine what each of you are going through. Please know that we think of you and we pray for you. Today Momma celebrates another birthday in Heaven. It is sad for those left behind but a glorious time with God…Now she has all these precious children to welcome and fuss over..We are very sorry for your pain and loss…words cannot lessen your grief but with faith and hope and prayers this sorrow will not shadow the love you had for your loved ones. For all the ones left to mourn..God was with each one and they were not alone….all the grandmas, pappaws, nonnies and poppies will keep them close until we get there! To all of the Sandy Hook School and Community. Our hearts are heavy all over the world knowing that we have lost such beautiful children and teachers, just knowing the innocent had to experience that kind of horror. My prayer for each family is that God wraps his loving arms around each of you and that he opens up a window of understanding into this sadness. This has forever changed our world like no other but as long as we hold on to the Saviour and let him guide us all, we will make it through. Let God be our Captain and lead us all down the right path. We all need to take time to think, because it is the source of power, Take time to be quiet for the opportunity to seek God, and also take time to be aware to help others. And we must never forget to take time to love, and be loved because that is truly one of God’s greatest gifts and I find that in all these things God will always be there to help us.
As a School Psychologist working in a small rural school system in Western North Carolina and based in an Elementary School, my heart goes out to the families of the children and staff at Sandy Hook. We also, are devastated by your loss and stunned by the magnitude of it. It seems unbearable. Life is so fragile. An Ursula LeGuin quote comes to mind: ‘An act is not, as young men think, like a rock that one picks up and throws, and it hits or misses, and that’s the end of it. When the rock is lifted, the earth is lighter, the hand that holds it, heavier. When it is thrown, the circuits of the stars respond, and where it strikes or falls, the universe is changed.’ In memory and in celebration of those at Sandy Hook who brought joy to your lives and made this world a brighter and better place.
We are so sorry for your losses, as parents and as friends and family. The hurt never goes away but oh those precious memories. Always know that God is with each and everyone in Newtown.

My name is Brianna C. Gross, I am 14 yrs. old, and I am an 8th grader at Harris Middle School, Spruce Pine North Carolina. I am writing this letter to say that I am deeply sorry for your loss. I don’t understand why some one would do this sort of stupid, devilish action. I wish I could change the thoughts of the man that did this, and I wish I could have stopped him. But, I don’t think any one could have known what was going to happen on this wretched day. I understand what I can of how you feel, I have a little sister named Hannah. I hate it when I hear about people who hurt kids, how could they. I have a little cousin, I love him like a little brother and he even calls me sissy, he’s in first grade the same as some of those kids. If any thing like that ever happened to him, I’d almost die. No child deserves that to happen, and neither should the teacher’s who died to protect those children. No parent, sister, or brother should have to go through having their child taken away like this. On Friday, I saw where all of these celebrities said, ‘they were praying for Newtown, CT.’ I had no clue what they was talking about, so I asked my dad. He explained all of it, I was speechless. I could not get over how someone would do that to little kids. My sister is 6 years old, turning 7 in 8 days. I don’t know what all you are going through, but I know if I was to lose my sister I would have no clue what to do. She has saved me in so many ways.
I am praying for you, and the rest of the families. Your beautiful child is with God. No more pain, or suffering on Earth. I know you are sad, possibly angry. But you will be with your child again one day. He, or she will be happy to see you again. They are looking down at you from Heaven right now. Stay strong..I know it seems hard to do. Trust me, it does. But you can do it.

School is supposed to be a safe enviroment for everybody who wants to get a good education, but thats not the case anymore. We know that you guys are having a really hard time right now. To all those parents and children that was killed in the shooting at Connecticut I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I have lost loved ones that was so close to me too before it’s hard. But keeping your head up and staying strong for the others can make a difference. I didn’t know any of the parents, teachers, and students but it upsets me still. God will take care of all his children and help you through your loss. Just remember that they’ll always be with you no matter what. I know it’s hard now but just keep praying and being there for others and you will get through this. You are all kept in my thoughts and prayers. I just wanted to say that I’m very sorry to the family’s that lost one of their family members.It’s a terrible thing that happened.You should know that people is here for you the person you lost will never be forgotten you will always be remembered.You are in my prayers.
I am so sorry for what happened to your family member.Remember that The Lord Jesus Christ is always with you,he is always with you no matter what happens.He helps people through the times.I can relate to these problems,I’ve had a close family member pass away.It was very hard but The Lord was with me.If you can read the Bible,it will help you a lot. When I have troubles I read it.One verse you can remember is Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Jesus Christ which strengthens me’. .Really think about these things.

My name is Courtney Thomas. I am 13 years old, and in the 8th grade in Western NC.
On Friday, I saw where all of these celebrities said, ‘they were praying for Newtown, CT.’ I had no clue what they was talking about, so I asked my dad. He explained all of it, I was speechless. I could not get over how someone would do that to little kids. My sister is 6 years old, turning 7 in 8 days. I don’t know what all you are going through, but I know if I was to lose my sister I would have no clue what to do. She has saved me in so many ways.
I am praying for you, and the rest of the families. Your beautiful child is with God. No more pain, or suffering on Earth. I know you are sad, possibly angry. But you will be with your child again one day. He, or she will be happy to see you again. They are looking down at you from Heaven right now. Stay strong..I know it seems hard to do. Trust me, it does. But you can do it.
