Ruby Hollis Ensley Davis, 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at her residence.
A native of LaGrange, GA, Ruby was a daughter of the late Bedford and Octavia Buchanan Ensley. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Ensley, and brothers, Lloyd and George Ensley.
She was a member of Deaverview Baptist Church and had recently been attending Elkwood United Methodist Church. She volunteered by knitting caps for infants in the NICU Unit of Mission Hospital.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rollins Carl Davis; sons, Pastor George Davis and wife Billie, of Asheville, Richard Lloyd Davis and wife Sole, of Auburn, AL, and Edwin Carl Davis and wife Lee, of Inman, SC; her twin sister, Audrey Guffey; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Davis will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel. Her son, Pastor George Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the cemetery.

Deepest condolences to the Davis Family. Mrs. Davis was such a kind, sweet lady to all. Much of our youth were spent together attending Johnston and Erwin with George, Rick and Carl. May you be blessed with precious memories of your sweet Mother and Wife during this difficult journey until you all meet again.
We were saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Davis. Such a sweet and gentle lady . Pastor George, Billie, and family members, we will keep you all in our prayers as you proceed through these difficult days. We recall the many times she attended church at Elkwood United Methodist Church and how easy it was to talk to her.
