Rosemary Winkler Barcelou, 85, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1939 in Stockbridge, WI to the late Leonard and Verena Nickel Winkler.

Rosemary is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Barcelou. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 at the Basilica of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Downtown Asheville.

Rosemary and her beautiful smile will always be in my heart. I met her when we were grown adults and felt as if we had been friends forever. To know her was to love her – Rosemary I love you and will miss you forever. Thank you for being in my world.
