Ronald Carl Conley, 66, of 5 Baker Place, Asheville, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002, at the VA Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Carl J. Conley and Clara Davis Conley Painter. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Conley. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from R.E.A. and from the VA Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Jean English Conley; two daughters, Lisa Hollifield and her special friend Albert Franklin of Leicester and Carlene Lunsford of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister Wanda Ramsey of Hendersonville and two brothers, Robert Conley of Candler and Russell Conley of Asheville. Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Donald N. Welborn officiating. His family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
