I am very sorry for your loss and may god bless your wonderful family.

  9. Kim and family:

Rodney meant so much to me and I will forever cherish our morning talks each day…Rodney called these his ‘daily dose of Dee Dee’. He and I would mainly talk about our families and you must know that he loved his family more than life itself. I will forever remember these talks (especially the ones during the rough times). He reminded me on more than one occasion to live in the present and cherish each day. I will never forget his outlook on life and humor. The way that he (and you all) have handled this struggle is an example for all of us.

May God bless you and give you strength in the coming days.

  20. I knew Rodney years ago when he and Kim were first dating. He was always smiling and so friendly. I remember being at a gathering at Diane’s appartment and Kim had made an egg dip (all the rage then) and I kept eating and eating and eating. Rodney smiled and told me that it caused gas. I was mortified. We all laughed and I had to make myself stop eating it. That is my memory of Rodney he made me laugh and was always so very nice to me. He and Kim were the perfect couple even back then. My heart goes out to Kim and his family. May God hold you in his lap and comfort you. God’s Peace to you all.

  38. Rodney was my “work buddy” at NCDC. He and I spoke almost daily and shared a wonderful friendship. We sat next to each other and most mornings he would peer over my cubicle wall and I would tease and call him “Wilson”; he loved doing that and telling others of our running joke. We talked about lots of things, gardening, boating, cooking, but our conversations also led to his love for his family and our shared faith. His grace and friendship will live in my heart forever. I will miss him, but have comfort in knowing where his kind spirit has led him.

My deepest condolences to his beloved family. I hope you find comfort in knowing how very much he was loved here on earth and how very much he loved each of you.

No words can express how my heart hurts for you all. I rejoice that an answered prayer was to celebrate the holidays together. Every time the Lord would lay you all on my heart to pray, the verse from Jeremiah 29:11 would follow. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ I pray for God to hold you all close today and all of your tomorrows. As you continue your journey, just know that we will be there to cheer you on. Warm hugs & love to you….Raymelle & Bob

  58. I first met Rodney in the 1990s when I asked him to consult with us on some issues at work (Square D). I was immediately drawn to his positive attitude and resourcefulness. When he later was hired permanently, although within a different group, I came to enjoy his presence and advice even more, and would seek him out at every opportunity. The last time I saw him, we were both pulled up at a stoplight on Patton ave. It was a spring day, and windows were down. Even in that brief encounter, we talked about the kids and he mentioned how fortunate we both were to have wonderful families with the privilege and means to support them, even if meant working forever. That was Rodney. He will be missed

  59. Remembering Rodney from our association at Square D. He was always highly regarded by his associates and will be remembered for his contributions to the company and for his his cheerful demeanor. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
