Richard Marvin Wallace, 84, of Supply, NC, died Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Bear Mountain Health and Rehab, Asheville.

Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, he was the husband of the late Leona (Hartis) Wallace, who died in 2015, and the son of the late Ashley and Eva Wallace.

Richard was a kind and compassionate man who had a heart for helping others. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by those whose lives he touched.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by three sons: Jessie Jenkins (Angela) of Asheville, Richard Wallace (Deloris) of Conover, and Tim Jenkins (Joy) of Edneyville; four daughters: Elizabeth Spencer (Tim) of Rutherfordton, Tonia Gutierrez (Martin) of Arden and Kathy Plott of Rutherfordton, and Mary Ann Wallace; 14 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Burial will follow in Roberts Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Spencer, Jr., David Spencer, Jeremiah Spencer, Izaiah Garcia, Ricky Lee Wallace, and John William Wallace.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
