  14. As I recall memories of my childhood, my mind always goes back to the times we all shared at Deaverview Baptist Church & what an influence ‘Dr. Dad’ was & how each of the Moseley’s touched me. I am so honored to say that because of Dr. Dad, I accepted Christ at an early age. I hope each of you know how much you mean to me.

I know Dr. Dad is now walking on Stars Below & watching over all of you & is singing with that Heavenly choir & praising God.

He is waiting to welcome you all, but while he is waiting he is enjoying sitting at the feet of God & Praising Him.

    All my love.

It is with tears of sadness that we say goodbye to Preacher Moseley but we rejoice in knowing he is in Heaven with his Lord and having a great time with all the saints that are there with him as he waits on each of us to join him. We had such wonderful times at Deaverview and he and your whole family was a big part of teaching me more about Jesus and giving me friends for a lifetime. May God bless each of you. Love, Ernestine

  20. We are praying boldly for God’s sweet grace, peace, love and mercy to cover you all in the journey that lies ahead as you adjust to this earthly life without ‘Dr. Dad’. We also rejoice with you as we try to imagine the celebration the he must be enjoying at this very moment at the feet of Jesus and Living the Life that we are all striving for.
    Much Love to you all

  21. Thank you Jesus for Rev. Dr. Earl Mosely. Thank you he faithfully preached the 24 carrot Gospel… salvation by grace through faith alone. 23. Alice, I have many fond memories of when you and Earl ministered at Second Baptist in Rutherfordton, especially all the times that you came and visited in our home. Even though I was a young girl, your love for the Lord and your congregation was evident, and is something I strive for in my ministry today. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

  24. WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE OUR THOUGHTS PRAYERS AND LOVE WITH SUCH A PRECIOUS FAMILY. PREACHER MOSELEY WAS SUCH GODLY MAN WITH A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. WHAT JOY HE’LL BRING TO HEAVEN. WE LOVED HIM.

  25. I did not Dr. Moseley except through his children. There was a lot of care, love and laughter when they spoke of him. I know how hard it is when you lose a father. Our joy is knowing where he is now and there is no more pain and suffering. Keep you memories always close to your heart. Someday we will all be dancing on the streets of gold with the ones who have gone before.

Mom had a picture Sunday of Kelvin & Ms Bertha seemed like yesterday. Would love to see all of you. Just remember we love you and are praying for you.

  29. Alice and Family, you are all in my prayers. I cannot tell you how much ‘Preacher Moseley’ has meant to my life. He lead me to Christ as a little girl at Deaverview and married Mike and I 23 years ago this past 9/26. He will always be in my heart and the ‘preacher’ that I looked up to all my life. Each of you, Alice, Elaine, Carson and Kelvin, are special to me as well. Your family has been apart of my family. I am very sad that I cannot attend the service tomorrow night, as I will be out of town and can not change my plans. Daddy, Mom and Kathy (milk-shake) will be there, however. I loved my ‘Preacher Moseley’ with all of my heart and will miss him greatly.

  30. Hi Elaine!
I can truly say I know how you feel. My father passed away July 2 of this year. It is not for them but ourselves that we grieve for we know they are no longer suffering. May the Lord continue to provide comfort and strength for you and your family.

  34. Dear Carson, I was saddened to learn of you Father’s death. I extend my sincere sympathy to you and all your family. I met him and Mrs. Moseley once when they visited Mother at Pisgah Manor, which made her very happy. There must have been a glorious time when he got home. May all your great memories of him help ease the pain you are having now.

  35. I can only imagine the celebration that is going on in heaven right now. Though family and friends grieve here on earth, ‘Preacher Moseley’? is shouting and singing. We must know that if we believe in the gospel he preached and lived by, that we will one day see him again. Preacher Moseley is so dear to me, as he led me to the lord and later baptized me at Beaverdam Baptist Church. I will always remember as a little boy going up to give him a piece of my candy as the choir came down just before he preached. My thoughts and prayers are with Alice and the family during this hard time.

  43. After attending the Celebration Service last night, I believe we could see that Earl Moseley preached his own funeral. What a tribute his family gave him!!! People who live with you on a daily basis know you better than anyone! I know he would have been proud of each one of you. I pray that God will give strength and peace in the coming weeks as you adjust to not having him with you in that earthly tabernacle. Just remember we have the hope of being reunited and that will light the way! Preacher Moseley was my pastor when my mom passed away. I will always remember the kind and encouraging words he provided me during those days! God bless each of you!

  44. Precious Moseley Family,
Each of you mean so very much to our families and have for many years. We truly miss those good ole Deaverview days! The ‘Life Celebration’ service was straight from the heart and very worshipful. Please know that you are all in our prayers daily and love you dearly,

  45. As many have stated, I, too, have very fond memories of Reverend Moseley and Deaverview Baptist Church, even though I wasn’t able to be there as much as I wished. I was sorry when God called Reverend Moseley away, but I praise Him for giving such a wonderful minister to us for a time. My prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. When my grandmother died, I was sad, of course, but I could not help but be joyous that she is now in heaven. I cannot help but feel the same now. God bless you all.
