Rebecca Joy Richey Reeves, 69, of Arden, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the John F. Keever Jr Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Alton Parker Richey and Wilma Lucy Kirk Richey.
Mrs. Reeves was a longtime nurse in the Asheville area.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Allen Reeves; two daughters, Kristina Waddell McDonald and her husband Steve and Kendall Elizabeth Dameron; one son, Allen Kirk Reeves; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Maria, Jeff, Sophie and Marisa and one brother, Ronald Kirk Richey.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Avery's Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 PM on Saturday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
