RALPH WILLIAM LAMSON
Ralph William Lamson, 81,
of Asheville, died Saturday, January
3, 2004, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Lamson was born in
Boston, MA, and was a son of the late
John Lester and Corilla White
Lamson. He was also preceded in
death by two brothers, Franklin and
Arthur Lamson.
He was a graduate of Lee
H. Edwards High School and N.C.
State University. He served as a
Combat Engineer with the US Army
during WW II and was a retired Civil
Engineer with the US Geological
Survey. He was a member of Snow
Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife,
Edna Anne Johnston Lamson; one
daughter, Linda Barefoot and her
husband Jim of Candler: three sons,
Ralph (Bill) Lamson and his wife
Cathie of Prior Lake, MN, John Murgil
Lamson and his wife Sue of
Minnetonka, MN and Gary Leslie
Lamson and his wife Carolyn of Albert
Lea, MN; five granddaughters and
one grandson.
A graveside service is
scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday at
Pisgah View Memorial Park with the
Rev. Neil Haynes officiating.
