Rachel Zelda Davis, 69, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Mission Hospital.
Born September 19, 1953 in Madison Co., Rachel was a daughter of Hettie Ogle Brookens and of the late Paul R. Brookens. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Richard Brookens, Jr. She worked for Tyco Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, Rachel is survived by her husband, Hurdas Brisco Davis; a son, Curtis Mark Davis; grandchildren, Kirsten and Sidney Davis; a sister, Sandra Anderson; and a niece, Tabitha Graham.
Private family burial will be held at the Western Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery in Black Mountain.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
