Dear Hickling Family It has been so many years since Paul and I spoke (about 1950) but I remember well the time we were together after school and on the way home from Hall-Fletcher Junior High, stoppin at the home on Majestic Avenue. Playing, discussing and learning. Paul helped me get an NC drivers liecense to keep from getting a ticket formt he patrol. I am sure Paul turned out to be a gentleman from those days of yore. May God bless and keep you in His presence forever. Henry P. (Spike) May (of Mays’ Market).
Pattie and Mary Beth–It was a pleasure to have worked with your parents. Although it’s been quite a few years ago since I last saw or spoke with anyone in the family, I remember you all and your parents quite well. I also remember how much love and care you gave to them. I now send you my sincere sympathy at the death of your father. Sincerely, Cathie St. John-Ritzen
