Paul "Jerry" Gerard Fontaine

Mills River ~ Paul "Jerry" Gerard Fontaine, 61, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Mission Hospital. Mr. Fontaine was born in Jacksonville, Fl. and is survived by his parents Arthur Paul Fontaine and Maxine Metcalf Brown. He is also survived by his wife, Kerri MacEwen Fontaine; one daughter, Brandy Martin; four sons, John Paul Fontaine, Ben Fontaine, Sam Fontaine and Jonathan Alec Fontaine and five grandchildren, Katelyn, Camden, and Emily Martin and Claira and Izzy Fontaine. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, May 27, 2012 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverend Julie Wilburn Peeler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, and mailed to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Development Office, 1762 Clifton Road, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322.

  1. Our walk through this life is filled with straight paths, warm breezes, curvey, rockey roads, ups and downs. Kerri, Papaw Fontaine, Brandy, Paul, Ben, Sam and Alex, I know you loved him every step. He was one of a kind, very special and will be missed.

  12. Kerri, Viv and I are so sorry to learh of your husband’s passing. We had no idea how serious his recent hospitalization was. We will try to attend the Sunday service to offer our condolences in person but Vivian has a bad knee right now and we have children here for the holiday.
