Paul Burnice Davis, 85, of Asheville, died on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.
An Asheville native, Mr. Davis was a son of the late Osborne and Mintie Brackett Davis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Solesbee Davis, who died in 1992; and by his son, B. Wayne Davis.
Mr. Davis founded Davis Wrecker Service with his son, David. He loved his work, and he loved old cars.
Mr. Davis is survived by his son, P. David Davis and wife Revonda, of Asheville; grandsons, Michael Davis and wife Jeannie, of Leicester, and Brent Davis and wife Kristy, of Flat Creek; and great-grandchildren, Brian, Darrell, Daniel, and Jessie.
A funeral service for Mr. Davis will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Revs. Donnie Williams and William Lamore officiating. Entombment will follow at the Lewis Memorial Park Mausoleum.
His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
We were both so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. Since we moved to this area, the Davis Family has treated us like we were part of their Family….God Bless you Paul Davis…until we meet again…
