Certainly, We KNOW that Furman is with the Lord now. It won’t be long until we meet him and live with him there. God bless all of you with His love and His Peace.

  14. My first memory of Furman was when I was 14 years old. Dad Wilson, Ronald Crane, Furman and Norman were singing, ‘Rise up and Walk.’ Many years ago, and I have adored him ever since. To me he was ‘Huggie-Bear.’ I will miss his wit and humor, his kind words and wisdom. His singing, but most of all his preaching that would pick you right up off your seat. You learned something every time he opened his mouth. What a gifted and loving man!

  17. what a wonderful christain and a man.always full of life and love and GOD’S love shinning about him.he realy will be missed.

  18. It is with great sadness that I write this. ‘little brother’ was an example of what a true Christian in this life stands for. To the family, he lived a great example and he has left us with an example to follow. He will always be special as he and my husband Bill, worked together and when they met on breaks or wherever at work, they always sang a song together. Thus, the name ‘little Brother’ was given to him by Bill as he considered him his younger brother in Christ. May God give you comfort and know he is singing and preaching in Heaven today. He has reached his destiny. His love for God has been fulfilled. May we always follow the example he set before us.Love in christ, Barbara Plemmons

  19. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. We are praising Jesus name that your loved one is now with our living God. Prayers for you in the days ahead.

  20. Brother Furman is one of my hero’s. He has been a burning and shinning light to me and my family. We have been caught up in ‘Heavenly Places’ together many times. I loved to hear him preach and sing but most of all, I loved his humility. If I was up trying to preach or sing and would look out and see his tears, I was encouraged and strengthened. He has fought a good fight and kept the faith! While we will miss him as long as we are in these bodies, we know he is in a place far better than this. A place that eye has not seen, ear has not heard and it has not even entered into our hearts how wonderful and glorious his new abode. It is not possible for our feeble minds to even comprehend the beauty and joy that awaits God’s children just across the river. I will not sorrow as those that have no hope for my hope is the same as Furman’s, our hope is in the Lord. I’ll see you again faithful brother.

  21. Dear Family
I am truly shocked to hear of your great loss! I pray for the Sweet Holy Spirit to bring you comfort during this time of grief! Many times Furman and I spoke together the Wonderful Words of Life. The Word of Life indwelled Brother Furman and how I loved to hear him speak them as they filled us both with the Spirit of God causing tears of joy to fall from our eyes! ‘For as it is written,Eye hath not seen nor ear heard neither have it entered into the heart of man,the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.’ (I Corinthians 2:9) I know that Brother Furman is seeing and hearing now, and he has and is leading the way for all of us to Glory! I will miss you my Brother I love you! Until we meet again!

  22. We was sorry to hear about Furman. We have known him and the Wilson Family for years.

We will be thinking about you all
    at this sad time.

  23. The Bible says ‘Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye who labor and I will give you rest’.
Pastor Wilson is now at rest, but what a joyous display of God’s message did he spread while he lived.Countless people were lead to the Lord thru Preacher Rogers voice. My condolences to the family.

Love you.

  29. The early Primitive QT recordings were a blessing to a young man who was seeking the will and the power of God for his life. Furman was a big part of their ministry in the early days and I appreciated his contributions. I was blessed to be in service with him in Feb and he was such a blessing. He didn’t care who was there or what else was going on; he was there to worship! May we all continue to plow the same row as Bro Furman; no matter what, worship God!

  30. God blessed Furman with a great memory and he used it to spread the gospel and to be a blessing to God’s people. I will always remember his humble spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and church family. What a loss to Bethesda Baptist Church.

  31. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families of Brother Wilson. I am looking forward to seeing him again one day. Revelation 14:13 Blessed are the dead which die in Lord from henceforth:Yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

  35. What rejoicing in Heaven. Furman’s life was an example of God’s love. He touched my life as no other Christian ever has. My love and sympathy for his precious children and family and all those he touched. I hold dear my memories of Furman in his service to and love for the Lord, and cherish what we shared in our personal conversations. I’ll love you forever, Furman, and look forward to talking with you again and singing with you in Heaven’s choir.

  38. My heart breaks for the Wilson family and the Primitive Quartet. My husband and I attended the past two nights of the Hominy Valley singing and was honored to hear all of them including Furman one more time. I can’t help but think of this chorus:

‘Oh look what’s happening in Heaven,
A Cheer went up as he walked through the gates,
What a change in Him what a difference,
He’s as young and as beautiful as a babe,
guess who’s got His arms around him,
Well He just wiped the last tear from his eyes,
He said Child Welcome Home forever,
Come and rest by the river of life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

  39. To all the Family I’am so sorry to hear of Brothers passing, only God knows what Furman truly meet to me.I know there is a great reunion going on in Heaven today when he got to see all is Loved once but most of all when he seen Jesus the one he Preached and sung about all these years. He will be greatly missed here,I’am so thankful I got to talk to him a couple of months ago by phone,we were hoping to be home next year and be with him in Church but God had other plans I know we will be together again soon but for now I will just say so long for now Big Brother. 58. I am so sorry to hear about losing your loved one. But, I have to give the Lord great praise for such comfort and peace knowing where Mr. Wilson is now. I can just hear him reciting ‘A Letter From Home’ with a big smile on his face.

  59. As a small, scrawny boy, I marveled at this man-child. I simply knew him as ‘Hoss’, due to his extraordinary strength and size. A chain saw in one hand and a load of pulp wood on his shoulder, he carried a burden that would stagger most men. Furman continued to do that as he watched over his family, friends and church flock, always there when he was most needed, always helping others carry their loads.
Even as a young boy, Furman was unforgettable; once his friend, you became his brother for life. I am forever honored by his love for me.
Like so many others, my heart is heavy today at his passing. He was there for my family as he helped us say an earthly goodbye to my mother. Later ‘my brother’ nurtured my terminally ill brother, even while being in poor health himself. He gave of himself like no other I’ve ever known. I am truly blessed to have been a small part of his time with us.
God bless you, my eternal brother.

  60. Norman-
May you & your precious family be comforted by the fact that few things are bringing the Lord (and Furman) more joy right now than that you & your family, through all of your memories, are continuing to rejoice in your sorrow & sing His praises so faithfully day in and day out. With love & thanksgiving to the Lord for you all.

  66. To the Wilson family, I offer a simple prayer that God will hold you close and comfort you during this time of grief. I have not seen ‘Hoss’ since I was a small boy staying with my grandparents the Rev.& Mrs. G.S Matthews over the summer. Furman was such a gentle and caring soul with nothing but encouraging words for me. He made such an impression on that young lad and it has lasted a life time. I look forward to meeting him again in paradise and I thank God I had the honor of his company so many years ago. God Bless.

  96. To all the family –

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I was privileged to know Pastor Wilson when he would visit people in the hospital here at Mission in Asheville. His kindness and care for others was a strong reminder of God’s love, and I am a better person because of him.

  97. Pastor Wilson was the man that show me how to feel God inside my heart. I got baptized in Enka Lake by Furman. When I was 26 I had a terrible car wreck that just about killed me and I was in a coma for many weeks and the only thing I can remember is waking up and seeing Furman sitting beside my hospital bed with that smile he had. There isn’t one person that has enter my life that made such a huge impact in my life. He was the most humble, kind hearted, amazing man!! I hadn’t know he passed away until I need to ask someone I know was very close to God to give me advise about the Covid vaccine and Furman was the first person who came to my head so I Google Furman name and find out he had passed away. You will be very missed and now God has his right hand man beside him now. Love you Furman very much.
