Norma Lou Miller Lance, 69, of Arden, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, February 24, 2014 at her residence.
A native of Boone County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and June Williams Miller. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Delores Hash and one brother, Harold Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lance; three daughters, Donna Lance Wolfe and her husband, Bill, of Arden, Terri Lance Vick and her husband, Clay, of Arden and Carolyn Bullman Young and her husband, John, of Raleigh; one son, Greg Lance and his wife, Sheila, of Arden; one sister, Carolyn Miller of Asheville, as well as seven grandchildren, Brittany and Tyler Vick, Nick and Logan Wolfe, Taylor and Bethany Young and Ally Lance.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, following the service until 7:00 PM.

Floyd, Marc and I were so sad when we saw Norma’s passing. When Marc and I would see Norma at Ingles we would stop and chat about things, family all things. She always had a smile on her face. She will be missed. You are in our prayers.
greg, terri, donna, carolyn and don i am truly saddened of hearing norma passed. there was a stretch of a few years norma and don were like my 2nd set of parents. all of you are like family to me.

Dear Don, Donna, Terri, Greg, and Carolyn, you have been in my thoughts every day and will continue to be so. I’m so, so sorry I could not get there for the memorial. I have hundreds of happy memories of Norma and your family. I love you all very much and wish you peace.
