Sandi and Dennis and families: Prayers and thoughts for you during this difficult time. I will not be able to attend Wed. but would love to see you – and will be remembering you. I remember school days when I would get off school bus with you all and walk to your house – and Sandi always had to start peeling the potatoes – since Mrs. Mills was at work at Candler Furniture. Will always remember growing up with all of you at school and church and what hard workers your parents were. Carolyn Shope Stamey
TO ALL THE FAMILY OF MRS. MILLS: I AM VERY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT MRS MILLS. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
I know that you aren’t supposed to have a favorite aunt and uncle but well… Aunt Jerry and Uncle Bufford were always mine. My memories of Aunt Jerry will always be etched in my mind. The fun loving laughter, the great home cooking, the long talks as adults when we would finally get together. I can truly say she was a true Woman of God. She did for others and showed Christ’s love to everyone she met. I love her dearly and will miss her forever. Even though we did not get to be together often, she was never far from my thoughts. Now she goes to where we all want to go.. to the loving arms of her Savior. Until we meet up again Aunt Jerry… I treasure you in my heart.
Laura

My prayers and thoughts are with you during the loss of a special lady. Mrs. Calvin Shope
I have to echo the sentiments of my sister Laura – Aunt Jerry and Uncle Buford have always been my favorite too. I’ve been overwhelmed with all the wonderful memories that keep flooding through – that will always be a part of me. So many of our family get togethers always included food and Aunt Jerry was some kind of cook! Nobody could throw together biscuits from scratch for breakfast like she could. They – never lived anywhere my entire life that wasn’t just the most awesome, special place. Time, the military and distance kept us apart but the visits were just ‘home’. I’ve loved you all for my whole life. Dennis & Sandy- please give Uncle Buford an extra big hug for me. It’s been too long! Aunt Jerry – it’s not goodbye – it’s see you later!!
Mr. Mills, Dennis & Sandi, Jim & I were so sorry to hear of Mrs. Mills’s death. I am sorry we cannot be there for the service but please remember our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
Heaven is happier today. A daughter/sister/mother has arrived to be with her own mother and father, all three of her sisters, and her first born son. I’ll miss my sweet sister, but I’ll never forget her. She was and is deep in my heart. Being the last of our immediate family, I know I’ll be joining them all soon enough, and that is O.K. with me. I’ll hear the laughter and feel the love of a family too far away in miles but always close in my heart.
My best to Buford, Dennis and Sandy. I feel your hurt. Bud.

Dear BC, Dennis and Sandy and family,
We are sad to learn of Jerry’s passing and at the same time, we have smiles remembering the many good times we shared. Meeting you and the members of the ‘Corry family’ has been a life-changing experience. We were honored that you chose to spend the 50th anniversary of the invasion with us in Wisconsin. We sincerely appreciate all of your efforts to make us feel a part of that family.
Love to all and God’s Blessings.
