Michael Ray Maltry, 46, of 121 Aurora Vista Drive, Asheville, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe Co., Mr. Maltry was a son of Betty Galloway and Buddy Turbyfill and of the late Ralph Paul Maltry. Mr. Maltry owned his own roofing business. Mr. Maltry is survived by his wife, Elessa Jeanette Pack Maltry; daughters, Melissa Ann Trantham and husband Josh, and April Dawn Maltry and son-in-law, Chris Fisher; sister, Barbara Fowler; brothers, Danny, Randy, and David Maltry; and granddaughter, Sydney Marie Taylor. A graveside service for Mr. Maltry is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Clark Chapel Cemetery in Canton with the Rev. Willard Pruitt officiating. His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
