Fletcher- Michael “Mike” Franklin Fish, 72, of Fletcher, went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 30, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Graham County, he was a son of the late Franklin and Peggy Wright Fish.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janice Howell Fish; a son, Michael Brian Fish of Hendersonville; two sisters, Paula Thompson of Warm Springs, GA and Elaine Williams of Fairview as well as three grandchildren, Saralynn, Tucker and Isaiah.

A private family celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a later date.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

To a one of a kind man, more than an Uncle to me. You had a hand in raising me. You took me places, you spent time with me, you cared for me and loved me. I’m your Ram Jam, your Bloomer. In my younger years you were always a one man party…. loud, wild and free! Very few people knew the beauty and tenderness of your heart. Very few little girls in elementary school are in a mission to search out Budweiser mugs at
Christmas time. We are one of a kind, from a great line of people who love God and can’t be understood by the world. I love you eternally. I know you’re watching over us all. I’ll keep my word and we will continue to remember that our lives and time together are worth more that that million dollar ticket. God will provide and take care of us. Now you know you don’t have to worry (or hurt ) anymore. We miss you every day.
