Michael Antonio "Tony" Carrelli, Sr.

Michael Antonio “Tony” Carrelli, Sr., 83, of Asheville, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019.

A native of Buncombe Co., Tony was a son of the late Michele and Frances Evans Carrelli. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Agnes Carrelli Patelidas and Dorothy Carrelli Partin.

Mr. Carrelli was a life-long airplane enthusiast, and was also a private pilot.

Surviving are his son, Michael Carrelli, Jr. and his wife, Teresa; grandson, Joshua Carrelli, granddaughter, Emily Anderson, and great-grandson, Ronan.

Graveside services will be held at Friday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Cathedral of All Souls, 9 Swan St., Asheville, NC 28803.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
