Arden ~ Mary Sue McMinn, 68, of 47 Southwicke Drive, died Monday, October 22, 2001 in an Asheville hospital.

A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. McMinn was a daughter of Annie Mae Praytor Hudson of Arden and the late Howard Hudson.

Mrs. McMinn was formerly employed as a communications technology inspector with CII Technology.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Roy Frank McMinn; two sons, Gary McMinn of Arden and Rick McMinn and his wife, Patricia also of Arden; four sisters, Robbie Ball of Asheville, Jetta Bee Hill of Winston-Salem, Evelyn Davis and Judy Jackson, both of Arden; seven brothers, Woodfin Hudson, David Hudson, Johnny Hudson all of Fletcher, Ray Hudson, Odell Hudson, Jackie Hudson, all of Arden and Danny Hudson of South Carolina; six grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Reverends Harold Holcombe and Sherman Middleton officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Hudson, Chris Hudson, Brad McMinn, John McMinn, Randy Dunn and Phillip Wright.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road where Mrs. McMinn will remain until being placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
