Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Walden Family,

It saddens us greatly to know Mary is no longer here with us. She was so sweet . . . and pretty! She and Nelson raised a wonderful family. We are so blessed to know you all. May you find comfort and solace in the many memories you have of her. May you rejoice in knowing she is in heaven with our Lord.

    Sincere Condolences,
    Amy and Andy Godleski

  2. Mary was always so intelligent, thoughtful, and kind. She was a true Christian who followed God through difficult days, including the loss of her only daughter. She sacrificed for Nelson’s calling into the ministry and still kept a sweet spirit. May her reward be great.

  3. Mrs. Walden and her family were wonderful neighbors and she had such a wonderful personality and beautiful soul. She always loved my flowers and would come over and we would discuss which were our favorites. I was so glad I got to know her and her family especially her daughter Tonia. Rest in peace and God bless.

  4. Dear Walden Family,

We are so saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. Both Nelson and Mary were so supportive of our youth group at Crossroads. From buying coffee every Sunday morning at the youth group coffee shop, to letting us know how much she was praying for us, Mary always let Eric and I know how much she cared about the teens when Eric was youth pastor. She was always joyful and encouraging. We know her loss leaves a huge hole in your hearts — we pray that God will fill it with peace and comfort in the days ahead.

  5. I had a wonderful friend in Mary Walden. We shared much by phone often. We were on the Women’s Aglow Area Board for Western North Carolina together. After those years, we kept in touch by phone. A wonderful addition to my life. She is missed.
