Mrs. McIntyre was born December 10, 1916, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Frank and Mary Pfahl. She moved to Asheville in 1947 after her marriage to Lewis B. McIntyre, who died in 1987. She was an active member of the Parishes of St. Lawrence and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Churches in Asheville until moving to Maryland in 1991 to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lewis F. and Karen McIntyre of Hughesville, MD and two grandchildren, Jesse McIntyre, a senior at the University of Dayton, OH, and Katy McIntyre, a sophomore at the College of St. Mary’s, MD.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. John M. Pagel officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
