Mae Tilson Fox, 89, of Creasman Place, Asheville, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Flag Pond, TN, she was a daughter of the late Arvil and Grace Gentry Tilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Lawrence Fox.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her daughters, Venita Currin and husband, Ret. Lt. Commander Tom Currin, Diane Fox, and Sandra Fox; grandchildren, Duane Webb, Sereitha Miller, and Matthew Robinson; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jackie Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hominy Valley Rest Home, 2189 Smokey Park Hwy, Candler, NC 28715.

Sorry to learn of Aunt Maes passing, but I can almost see hers and Uncle Lawrence’s smiles lighting up heaven. They both were always so special to Daddy (Eldridge) or all of us really. Ya’ll are in my prayers.
It’s always hard to lose your mother even if you know that she is no longer suffering and at peace. Love you and praying for all of you.
So sorry to hear about Mamaw Fox’s passing. She was a sweet and loving person and was a big part of my childhood! I will always remember her fondly. My prayers and thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to know of the passiing of Mae. She is now with Lawrence and together they are enjoying Heaven andd singing eternal praises to Jesus.
