Mack Edward McCoy, 80, of Leicester, died Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the John F. Keever Solace Center.
A native of Swain Co., he was a son of the late Jimmy and Aletha Griffin McCoy. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Mr. McCoy is survived by his wife, Glenna Suddreth McCoy; daughter, Mary Ann Gregg and husband Dail; sons, David McCoy and wife Dawn, and Joseph McCoy and wife Wanda; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kelly McCoy and wife Louise.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home.

The scriptures tell us at John 5:28,29 that soon the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.
