Lloyd W. Reece

Funeral services for Mr. Reece will be at 11:00 am Saturday, September 19, 1998, at Groce Funeral Home, with the Revs. G.H. Shope, Cecil Fox, and Freddie Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Reece was born in Buncombe County and raised in Henderson County. He was a son of the late Joseph J. and Ada Bryson Reece and was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a retired plasterer and was associated with the Union Local #477 for more than 40 years. He attended Bent Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Effie Bishop Reece; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Brenda Reece of Leicester and Kenneth and Retha Reece of Fairview; a sister, Iona Carland; a brother, Judson Reece; four grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Sharli, and Melanie, and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn.
