Lillie Irene Early Fite, 95, of Fairview, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at her residence.

Lillie was the daughter of the late Dwight Gladstone Early and Rosa Norman Early Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Howard Nathan Fite, who passed in 2004, her father and mother-in-law, George S. Fite and Hannah Malinda Lankford Fite, her sister, Judy Camby, and her brothers, Bobby, Jack, Jerry, Billy and Tony Early.

Mrs. Fite was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a great daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved her Lord and all her family. She loved flowers and always looked forward to everything blooming in her yard. She loved to share fresh cut flowers, seeds and plants with anyone who visited her. She also loved crocheting, quilting and sewing. She made many beautiful quilts and baby afghans, and loved feeding the birds as well.

She is survived by her son, Eugene Fite (Pam); daughters, Patricia Sellers (Paul), Kathryn Boone (Mack), and Sharon Nesbitt (Dean); sister, Nancy Worley; brothers, Donald (Iva) and Richard (Betty) Early; grandchildren, Darrell (Summer), Nicholas and Douglas (Amie) Sellers, Mary Ann Parham (Greg), Haley (Luke), Toney and Curtis Fite, Heather Wilson, Amber King (Josh), and Stephen (Danielle) and Nathan Nesbitt; great-grandchildren, Chesnee Villanueva, Rebecca and Nicholas Sellers, Tarah Bailey, Lily and Douglas Sellers, Conner Parham, Luke Arnette, Susan and Michelle Wilson, Waylon King, and Elena and Tarley Nesbitt; and great-great grandchildren, Elaina and Isidora Villanueva, and Jessie James Hollifield.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Cane Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Huffman will officiate. Her family will stay at the cemetery to receive friends following the service.

Her family wishes to give their thanks to Four Seasons Hospice, specifically her at-home caregivers Debbie, Christina, and Allison, and to the volunteers with Meals on Wheels who delivered food to her.

Her family also asks that memorials be made to Fairview Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a charity of one’s choice, or to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
