Leonard Fletcher, 92, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Memorial Mission Hospital. Mr. Fletcher was born in Rugby, England. He retired as a tool and dye maker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Langton Fletcher and Maggie Perkins Fletcher; a sister, Betty Rose; and a son, Martin Fletcher. He is survived by his wife, Marion Riddick Fletcher; a son, Craig Fletcher; two daughters, LaVonia M. Norman and husband Pastor K.L. Green and Ta Marra “Joy” Norman and husband Adrien Mason; two brothers, Peter Fletcher and Mervyn Walter Fletcher; grandson, Kenneth Green, Jr. and wife Kenya; great-grandsons, Elijah and Kaleb Green; granddaughter, Di-Shon Gibson and great-granddaughter DiLiyah; granddaughter, Andrea Green and husband Eric Bennet; great-granddaughters, Ari and Ashlyn; grandchildren, Ariel and Kyle Mason... a host of many family members and friends. Mr. Fletcher loved life and was full of joy. He was an honest, respectful and caring man who loved religion, sports and was very down to earth. He always wanted to be sure everyone was happy. He was a people person and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Foster Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Ezra Mendinghall, Sr., and Pastor Patrick Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Groce Funeral Home at 856 Tunnel Road is assisting the family with arrangements.
