Leanior Marie Watkins

Leanior Marie Watkins, 83, of Fletcher, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Universal Healthcare Center. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Nancy Gosnell Harwood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Watkins, who passed away in 1998. Marie is survived by five children, Donna Tessneer, Cheryl Dublynn, Bruce Watkins, Eugene Watkins and Lisa Justus; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and one brother, James Harwood. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Words Of Life Cemetery. Her family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of Words Of Life Tabernacle immediately following the graveside. Flowers are appreciated, but for those who choose, a memorial donation may be made in Marie’s name to a charity of one’s own choice. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
