Joyce M. Lynch, 81, of Asheville, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
A native of Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Mary Williams Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lynch.
Mrs. Lynch is survived by her sons, Chuck Lynch and Ray Lynch; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016, in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lynch family, Joyce was a beautiful lady inside and out with a big heart and a quiet strength, she was always ready to lend a hand. A much loved & respected part of Sand Hill Church she will be missed and loved always. Her thoughts were always with her family and she loved you all completely, take comfort in the knowledge that she is resting in the arms of Jesus safe for all eternity.

Joyce was always such a loving part of my childhood. The family lived next door to us for several years and we had many happy memories. What many may nor know but when Sand Hill was in need of a new piano, Joyce helped us kids pop, box and sell popcorn at the little league games to help raise money. I’m sure she spent more than we ever made but it was a great lesson in giving to others. She was such a loving precious woman. Ray and Chuck I know you are sad at this time but you know she is in heaven with your dad and she,will be waiting for you. I love you both.
