Joy Sluder Letterman, 88, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville.
Mrs. Letterman was born in Madison County to the late Dillard Fillmore Sluder and Ida Lee Payne Sluder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fillmore Letterman and two brothers, Lon and Fred Sluder.
Surviving are her two daughters, Joyce Brock and her husband, Charles, of Hendersonville and Cathy Kaufman and her husband, David, of Fletcher; five grandchildren, Philip Brock, Tim Brock, April Busby, Jennifer Waldrop and Kathleen Kaufman and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Reverend Stan Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the Funeral home.
