Joseph C. Bennett, 82, of Arden, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015.
A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., he was the son of the late Walter Newton Bennett and Lillian West Bennett and was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter N. Bennett.
Joe was a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired mobile home salesman.
He is survived by a brother, Frank W. Bennett, and his wife Martha, of Arden; a sister-in-law, Virginia Bennett; nephews, Stuart S. Bennett, Rieley B. Bennett, Frank W. Bennett, Robert L. Bennett, Benny Bennett and a niece, Mary Bennett Campbell.
The family will have a private family service later.

We are sad to hear that Joe has passed away. We lived in his apartment on Westwood for several years. He was a good friend to us and we loved him very much. Our prayers are with you.
