Jimmie Joe Borum, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his residence.

A native of Chattanooga, TN, Jimmie was a son of the late Robert Glen and Sarah Katherine Denny Borum. He was also preceded in death by his parents-in-law who loved him like a son, Horace and Thelma Cunningham; and brothers, Bill (Sally), Bob (June) and Larry (Sue) Borum.

Mr. Borum proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He retired from Eaton Corp. after 34 years.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Lynn Cunningham Borum; sons, Kevin Borum (Heidi) and Keith Borum (Candace); sisters-in-law, Betty and Norma; and grandchildren, Victoria, Amelia, Natalee and Isaac Borum.

His family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Starnes Cove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Charlie Sams and Dr. Ronnie Owen will officiate. Burial with U.S. Air Force honors will then take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
