Jeanette H. Worley

Jeanette H. Worley, 82, formerly of Candler died Sunday, January 26, 2003, in Trenton, MI after a long illness. Mrs. Worley was born February 26, 1920, in Big Pine, Madison County. She was the daughter of the late Zeb and Diva Lunsford Davis and the youngest of eight siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was the loving wife for 60 years of Thomas Worley who died in 1997. She was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Janice Holbrook of Riverview, MI, Judith Benson of Flat Rock, MI, Deborah Tsermengas of Ecorse, MI, and Janie Schrettner of Romeo, MI, as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Billy Cline officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, William Holbrook, Patrick Benson, Harry Tsermengas, Michael Schrettner, and grandsons Brian Holbrook and Michael Benson. Her family will receive friends from 4 - 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
