J.C. Davis

J.C. Davis, 83, of 741 Starnes Cove Road, Asheville, died Friday, January 4, 2002, at his home. Mr. Davis was born in McDowell County and was a son of the late John William Davis and Claudia Simmons Davis Greene. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Butler and two brothers, Clyde and Bishop E. Davis. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Mary Ann Christopher, with whom he made his home. A memorial service will be at 5:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
