Surrounded by his loving family, Jim O'Hare passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014.
A native of Buffalo, NY, he was a son of the late John and Mary O'Hare.
He is survived by his daughter, Lyn O'Hare and grandchildren, Marley and Dillan Howard.
Jim lived a full life, loved unconditionally and brought joy to all who knew him. "Long may your big jib draw."
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church on Friday, October 31. Burial will follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain at 2:00 p.m.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.

Knowing Jim has been a great delight. He was a genteel gentleman in all ways. We knew each other through the G&W Investment club and other activities health related throughout our friendship here in Asheville.
He must have lived his final years in great pain as we know how much he suffered from his fall of a few years ago.
My family and I extend love to you Lyn and to Marley and Dillon.
