James Larry Hill, 68, of Fletcher, died Thursday, October 6, 2016.
He was born October 19, 1948 in Buncombe County, a son of the late William Russell Hill and Edith Searcy Hill. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Larry worked with Coast Line Distributor.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Gardner; son, Chris Hill; five grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Bishop (Charles), Carolyn Sheehan (friend Steve) and Deborah Willix (Terry).
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Cecil Robinson and Forrest Sheehan officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church, 270 Overlook Road, Asheville, NC 28803.

I was very saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. I knew him from my days of bowling at Star Lanes and he was a good friend – he will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
