We will miss you, Jim. You were a man who honored God, loved your wife and family, and lived a full life.
You always had wonderful stories to share, full of interesting experiences and information. You were always caring, compassionate, and joyful. God was waiting for you with open arms. You are now with Him for eternity.
Fond memories of our times together…Charlie & Judy Davis
I got to know Jim in the management development field. Jim was a very special man. Professionally he was always generous with his wise and thoughtful counsel and was an active listener. Extremely well read, curious and had a thirst for new knowledge . Happy and kind …. and a man with a distinguished manner who could relate to all walks of life. Spending time with Jim was ALWAYS up lifting. So many will miss him.

Jim was a fine Christian man and I enjoyed talking with him whenever we met. He was always so very kind to me and interested in whatever I was doing. I know everyone will miss him greatly including me, but of course we can be lifted up knowing that Jim is in Heaven now and that we will one day see him again. Dee, my prayers and thoughts are there for you at this time and thank-you for being Jim’s partner during his earthly journey.
Thank you for being my Daddy-O. I know Spirit has the perfect plan for all of us & I trust it was His perfect plan and timing to bring you home, into the arms of His Love.
I will miss seeing the sparkle in your eyes, hearing your beautiful voice that is uniquely yours, being in the presence of your infectious joy, the warmth of your hugs and smile.
We have so many wonderful memories that will keep you near & with me. I was recently remembering our epic partnership in whitewater canoeing, me at the helm guiding us and you at the stern steering us safely through, communication has always been our incredible bond. I smile thinking of the many very special times together, Father & Daughter.
Shine on Dad, brighter than ever, free of the afflictions, illusions, predicaments and pain of this Earth realm. You are free. “Way to go!” I love you. <3 <3 <3 sita- ginger
Shocked and sorry for your great loss. What a fine and godly man has gone home to be with the Lord he loved so much. May you find comfort knowing Jim is in his eternal home waiting for you. Much love, Denise
Dee, I was shocked and saddened a few days ago when you called to tell us of Jim‘s passing. Nelson and I have such fond memories of spending time with you and Jim during our stays in North Carolina. Even though we rejoice that Jim is now with his Lord and pain-free, we know that you must be missing him terribly. Please know that you are in our prayers during this very difficult time. We’ll look forward to giving you a hug and getting together with you when we return to North Carolina in the spring. We love you, sweet friend.
Praying for you Dee!
Sorry for your loss Dee and the entire Hogg family. Sorry I missed the memorial service as I have an upper respiratory infection.
Jim was a dear friend and Brother. I just learned that he has gone home to be with Jesus. Comfort and peace to all of his family. I cherish memories of our adventures as friends, elders and brothers. He loved his wife, kids, his grandkids and most of all Jesus.
I’m so very sorry to hear of your husband Jim passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting Jim; however, from reading all the comments here, I know He love the Lord with all his heart. And he was loved by you and his children, and loved by your children. And Jim and you loved each other so very much!
Hold onto to that thought and treasured in your heart all the days of your life ❤️.
Your high school friend and sister in Christ. Joyce Erfley, Prayers for you, and the whole family. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
