Jack McKinley Young

Jack McKinley Young, 77, of Asheville, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Madison Co., he was a son of the late Lettie Essick and step-son of the late Frank Essick. Mr. Young was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a postal clerk at the Arden Post Office, and was a member of the Asheville Elks Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Ethelyne Wilkie Young; daughter, Beverly Brown (Charlie); son, Billy Young; and sister, Joann Schreiber. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Hendersonville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden.
