Helen Creasman Higgins, 93, of Beaverdam Rd., Asheville, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lillie Eloise Bishop Creasman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Auburn Grey Higgins, and by an infant son, Kenneth Higgins.
Mrs. Higgins is survived by daughters Janet Stewart, Joyce Roper, and Judy Higgins; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. C.W. Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

I love you Nonie. I hope Heaven is everything it should be and more! Even though we didn’t get to spend much time together this last year I am so grateful that the boys and I spent so much of our life with you and Judy! Until we meet again you are forever in my heart.

So sorry about Nonie I was just thinking about all of you at Christmas-Nonie was such a wonderful person always treated me just like I was one her grandkids too. Sorry I wasn’t able to make it to the services,let me know if there is anyhing I can do-would love to see all of you. Love & miss you all very much.
